All flight operations at Tada-U International Airport, Myanmar's second busiest airport in Mandalay, were suspended on September 11 and 12 due to an alleged drone attack from the pro-democracy rebels. According to the military junta in Myanmar, the security forces were able to intercept six "suicide drones" used by the People's Defense Force (PDF). No injuries or damage was reported by the government, although local sources suggested that the rebels are trying to attack military jet fighters at the base.
